Debra Stewart comes to TIDC from HHSC – Office of Inspector General, where as part of the Sub-recipient Financial Review Unit she has audited various state grant contracts and performed many desk reviews of Single audits. Debra has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Concentration in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University. She has held her CPA license since 1991 and brings a wide variety of accounting experience and knowledge to her position as Fiscal Monitor. Debra has recently earned the designation of Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA). Debra is an old time Austinite graduating from S.F Austin High School, but currently she resides with her husband and children in Fayette County.
